I've been putting the finishing touches on our guest suite. One of my favorite things to include is a little something for my guests to indulge in. What's more refreshing than one of my homemade sugar scrubs? I adapted my rosemary mint sugar scrub {my winter favorite} for lavender to pair with the lavender mint bath salts.
1/4 cup carrier oil {Vitamin E, grapeseed oil, almond oil, olive oil}
1/2 c sugar
spearmint essential oil to your taste {I used 10 drops}
5 heads of lavender, pulled apart
Mix, add to your jar and enjoy! Keep in mind that lavender activates when rubbed/broken, so it will be more fragrant in the bath/shower.
They make a great gift set!

So carrier oil can be any of those oils you mentioned?
That's correct! So easy!
Thanks so much i will defenitely be trying this. What would you say is the shelf life for these? I would want to give them as gifts :)
I love giving them as gifts. They last a month or two minimum! I have seen a lot of dried lavender at Trader Joe's lately if you need some.
I have a lavender plant which i why i am excited about trying this out. Thanks!
Do u need to add sugar to it to make it a scrub?
Yes, just the half cup as noted. Enjoy!
I just made this, and 10 drops of spearmint is *way* too much. It completely overpowers the scent of the lavender, which is undetectable. :( I'm trying to save my mixture by adding more sugar, oil, and lavender (proportionally), but all I can smell is the mint! I also made the rosemary-mint scrub (using 12 drops of spearmint for every 1/3 c of oil + 1 c sugar + 2 tsp rosemary), and every scent in that scrub is perfectly detectable! I don't know if I should keep trying to save my lavender scrub, or just start over....
Lavender activates when it is rubbed or crushed, so you will smell it when using it, unlike rosemary, which is fragrant untouched.
