My mom loved cake decorating. Honestly, I do too, but never find myself with the time to do it, and it's a practiced art. A basic cake can be transformed with embellishments in just seconds. Here are four of my favorite ways:
Add pretty flags - using ribbon or paper {shown with gold glitter wrapping paper}, bamboo skewers {found at the grocery store} and double stick tape.

Use Creative Candles! Kansas City based Creative Candles offers elegant thin tapers in two lengths for a dramatic presentation.
Aren't they darling? I love them on this bundt cake.
Add a flower and or number. This glitter number was created by spraying adhesive on an inexpensive wooden number, then drizzling with glitter.
You can never go wrong with sprinkles. Use them alone, or with a stencil to leave the number on the cake.
Which is your favorite?

I love designing cakes! My mom is a pastry chef (and an amazing one at that) and I always help her every time she's baking. I really admire her creations, and I guess her clients too because they kept on coming back to her and also referring her to friends.
It's so special that you share that with her and that you have learned from the best!
I put some of my creative side on the birthday cake we gave for our friend's birthday. What I did is to place all of our personalized greeting on top of his birthday cake.
Well I'm getting married in a few months and I'm looking for the perfect cake for our big event. I'm trying to look online and I don't seem to find any good site. Do you have any suggestions?
Those party cakes are perfect for my aunt’s baby shower this coming month! I will definitely suggest this to her!
Thank you!
