Lining envelopes is a simple way to add a little extra color, texture and luxury to your invitations and stationary. You can purchase templates, but personally, I don't think they're worth the expense. It's so easy to line your own with this step by step.
Cut your paper just shy of the width of the envelope, and the same length of the open envelope.
Insert "liner."
From the fold of the envelope, to the bottom of the glued portion of the envelope, create a fold on both sides.
Remove the liner. Using a paper cutter, cut just inside those folds.
Insert the liner and allow it to fold naturally, creasing the liner.
Pull the liner forward and using double stick tape {as shown} or glue, outline just above the crease and below the glue on both sides and fold your envelope to seal the liner.
Each liner takes 3-4 minutes, but is totally worth the effort to give your stationary a rich feel.

Thanks Rachel!
I've been looking for glitter paper and can only find the thick type. Can you share where you got yours. I love this idea!
Paper Source by the large sheet {2x3', I think}. You can also purchase it in wrapping paper form there and at Michael's. Enjoy!
